Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Disney’s Grand Floridian resort has a lot of tasty dining options. The Gasparilla Grill is the Grand Floridian’s quick-service dining location. It is the only quick-service restaurant outside of the Disney Parks that offers a Castle View while dining. Gasparilla Grill offers sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, soups, salads, grab ‘n’ go items, desserts, beer, and wine in a beautiful dining location.

Gasparilla Island Grill

Grand Floridian’s quick service is located outside of the main building. There is an exit near the Grand Floridian Cafe that leads out to the courtyard. If you take the sidewalk that goes left and go down a little bit, you will find Gasparilla Grill on the left.

View of the castle from the Gasparilla Island Grill patio.

Adorable umbrella covered tables are located outside with views of Bay Lake and the castle. Indoor seating is also available. This quick service restaurant is open 24 hours but the grill closes for hot items at midnight and reopens at 6:30 am. You can order breakfast until 11:00 am.

Gasparilla Grill Breakfast

One of the best breakfast sandwiches on property is located here. The Bacon, egg, and cheese croissant is so good. The croissant is so light and flaky. It is made fresh with eggs and bacon cooked perfectly. It is served with potato barrels (tater tots). Other notable options include Mickey Waffles served with bacon and potato barrels and a breakfast burrito with Egg, Sausage, Potato Hash and White Cheddar also served with potato barrels.

Gasparilla Grill Lunch

I almost thought lunch was typical of most food courts especially after having their hamburger, but then I tried the Chicken and Brie Sandwich. That sandwich is so good! Tendy, juicy grilled chicken breast with sliced ham, brie cheese, and top with strawberry jam. Other notable items include the Blackened Fish “Rueben”, and the chicken & mushroom pizza.

FreeStyle Coke Machine

The Gasparilla Grill is one of the few Disney Quick-Service restaurants that have the FreeStyle Coke machines. I think Disney is trying to add more of these machines in their quick service dining locations so as places get refurbished you will see more of them.

Decadent Desserts

If you are a fan of Disney’s decadent cupcakes and want to find them outside of the Disney parks, you will find them here and at the Contempo Cafe. Disney cupcakes are huge, usually have great flavors, and are beautifully decorated. Other than cupcakes you will find a delicious Mickey Brownie, yummy cookies, and other mouth-watering pastries.

Plus, since you are at a Disney World resort you can also grab a Mickey Premium Ice Cream bar!
