Did you know that this year is the 25th anniversary of the Wilderness Lodge? To help celebrate the occasion Disney has returned the Gingerbread House at Wilderness Lodge. The Gingerbread House isn’t as large as some of the others on Disney property, but it is just as gorgeous!

Did you know that there has not been a Gingerbread House at Wilderness Lodge since 2000? After 9/11 tourism dipped quite a bit and unfortunately it is the Gingerbread House that got the cut.

Wilderness Lodge Gingerbread House
The Wilderness Lodge Gingerbread House inspiration is the turn of the century National Park Lodges.
Yes, there are five Hidden Mickeys to find. Hint: The Mickeys are gold painted. Honestly, I had a hard time finding any of them.

In front of the gingerbread display is a table selling some Disney Merchandise and some yummy treats including flavored Hot Cocoa! You will also find the Wilderness Lodge Christmas pin and the Gingerbread House Pin.

Who is Humphrey Bear?
You may be wondering who is the bear is. It is Humphrey Bear who first appeared in Disney cartoons in 1950. His first appearance was in a Goofy short where Goofy tries taking his picture, the short is called “Hold that Pose”.
Humphrey’s latest appearances include Ralph Breaks the Internet (in the background), Legend of the Three Caballeros, and a few of the new Mickey Mouse Shorts.
Humphrey is the mascot of the Wilderness Lodge. Can you find Humphrey inside the lobby of the lodge? He is featured on the totem pole in the lobby along with Mickey, Donald Duck, and Goofy. His merchandise is found at the Briar Patch gift shop in Magic Kingdom.
