Since I have tried a lot of the quick-service hamburgers at the Walt Disney World resort I thought I would venture outside of the magic and start discovering some great eats around Orlando. My husband wanted to try Beth’s Burger Bar first so after some park fun we had dinner at this small, but yummy place to eat.
Beth’s Burger Bar Burgers
The star of Beth’s Burger Bar is the burgers. They won best local burger in 2014 and 2016 from the Orlando Sentinel and the Orlando Magazine.
The reason the burgers are awesome is that you are the designer. You pick the sauces, toppings, and meats. The possibilities are endless. If you are stumped then there is a menu of their most popular combinations.
I am a bit picky and don’t like veggies on my burgers so I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce, bacon, pepperoni, cheddar cheese, and fried onion rings. The onion rings were huge! The sandwich was really tasty and the price was decent.
Along with my sandwich, I ordered fried cheese curds. If I had it to do over again I would probably just order fries. The number of cheese curds versus the price just didn’t sit well with me. The cheese curds were just alright, nothing too spectacular about them.
My husband’s burger was a cheesy double royale with all the basic toppings: lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickle, and onions. He loved his sandwich!
He picked fried pickles as his side item and he said he would order them again.
The service was friendly and even when they made a mistake (forgot my onion rings) they caught it themselves and quickly corrected it.
The place is not spectacular when it comes to decor. It has some retro signs and simple booths and tables. There is a large Connect 4 games board for kids to play at. Beth’s Burger Bar is simply a nice place to get a yummy burger in the Orlando area.
Food Challenge
Now I have talked about extreme food before when I went to Datz in Tampa. Bath’s Burger Bar has a challenge burger! The challenge consists of eating a 1 lb double double topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mushrooms, and jalapenos with ketchup, mustard, and mayo in under 10 minutes. If you succeed you get a free t-shirt and your picture on their wall of fame.
Beth’s Burger Bar is located at 9938 Universal Blvd #120, Orlando, FL 32819 in a small shopping center. They deliver so even if you don’t have a car while on your vacation you can try the yummy food! I can’t wait to go there again.
