SeaWorld Orlando Tips

SeaWorld is close to Disney World and if you love sea life and The Seas with Nemo and Friends was not enough finned friends for you then, I would take a day off and visit. If you do not have a car, the cheapest way to get there would be an Uber or Lyft.

Be prepared to learn a lot along with your fun. SeaWorld Orlando aims to educate you as well as offer you a fun place to vacation. These SeaWorld Orlando tips will help you have a great day.

What to Wear to SeaWorld

You should bring a sweater as the blasts of cold air to maintain the proper temperature for indoor aquariums and exhibits will make you shiver a bit. Two of the colder exhibits will be Wild Arctic or Antarctica: Empire of the Penguins.

In addition to bringing a sweater, you will want to wear clothes that are quick to dry. Since Sea World Orlando brings ocean life to you, you’re bound to get a little wet, or even soaked. Either wear quick dry clothing or prepare yourself with a raincoat or poncho to stay dry.

Money Saving SeaWorld Parking Tip

Parking at Sea World Orlando can cost you about $20 which may take a huge cut out of your budget, even if more convenient to be closer. Consider looking at your resort, if you’re staying at one, or a local hotel for their shuttle fees. Many hotels in the area near Sea World Orlando offer transportation to and from Sea World Orlando for a much smaller fee. If you’re not staying at a hotel, you can look into discount Sea World Orlando tickets that include parking with the ticket price.

Rides First!

If you’re interested in Manta or Mako then you need to plan to get on those rides before anything else. Wait times at Sea World Orlando often peak earlier in the day since many visitors go to the shows in the afternoon. I highly advise you ride Mako both during the day and once again at night time to fully experience this amazing ride. If rides are surely something on the top of your priority list, then it’s best to get them out of the way first before inclement weather hits or the lines get too long.

Arrive Early

Sea World Orlando likes to make sure that the animals don’t get overtired, so they usually have specific times and shorter shows to ensure the animals’ health is taking into consideration. It’s best to arrive at each show you wish to see at SeaWorld about 20-30 minutes before the start time so that you can find a seat and not miss any part of the show. The more popular shows that fill up quickly tend to be the dolphin shows; Dolphin Days, and Shamu’s close-up, and One Ocean. Grab a schedule at the beginning of the day to plan out the shows and fit the rides in between the showtimes.

What is SeaWorld Orlando Dining Like?

SeaWorld Orlando does not allow you to bring in food into the park. Guests with special diets, baby formula, or baby food may bring their items into the park.

While this is not the best situation for those on a really tight budget, there is a way to still save on dining. SeaWorld offers an all-day dining option that costs just $35/adult and $20/child. This option does not include the table-service restaurants but it doesn’t include all the quick service places. You can enter a dining place up to once an hour. If you eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks it is well worth the $35.

Kids Play Area, Adults Rest

If you’re at SeaWorld Orlando with little kids who are getting restless, be sure to let them enjoy the kid-friendly environment and rides at Shamu’s Happy Harbor. This is a great way to let them run off some steam and allow the adults to recoup before heading off to another exhibit, show or ride.

SeaWorld Orlando is a really wonderful place to enjoy ocean life up close and since SeaWorld Orlando is very big on conservation, you will learn a thing or two about what they’re doing to help our oceans.
