Mickey Mouse Garland Materials & Tools

If you couldn’t find the find the materials at the Dollar Tree, most of the materials can be found cheaply at Walmart or craft stores. Don’t forget those craft store coupons!

How to Assemble Garland

This Christmas card display idea is not hard and shouldn’t take too much time depending on how long you make it.

Make the Mickey Heads. Hot glue two of the smallest red foam ball vase fillers to the top of a large red foam ball vase filler in the shape of Mickey Mouse ears. Repeat this process, making 5 or 6 red Mickey Mouse shaped foam balls.

Repeat step 1, but instead, use gold foam ball vase fillers.

Attach the Mickeys to the Craft Clothespins. Hot glue each of the red and gold Mickey Mouse-shaped foam balls to a craft wood clothespin, leaving enough room at the top to still pinch open the clothespin.

Assemble Pinecone Bunches. Cut 5-6 pieces of the wired pine garland into approximately 2” pieces. Bend the pieces into a slight curve. Hot glue a small glitter pine cone onto the middle of the wired pine pieces.

Assemble the Garland. Begin hot gluing the red Mickey Mouse shaped foam balls, glitter pine cone pieces, and gold Mickey Mouse shaped foam balls along the wired jute cord in a continuous pattern. Leave approximately 2-3” between each piece, so that you will have enough room to hang cards or pictures.

Let dry completely, and then your garland is ready to enjoy!

Places to Hang Your Christmas Card Garland

Be sure to use Command hooks to hang the garland. The smallest size should be ok.

  • Across Mantels.
  • Above doorways. I usually hang mine above the entrance to my kitchen.
  • Underneath the TV.
  • Mirrors. If you have a bigger mirror, hanging the garland around the mirror would be super cute.
  • Windows.

If you want to make this garland stand out more you could add lights to the garland too!

I hope you liked this fun card display idea that gives you a small touch of added Disney magic.
