The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the most beautiful resort on Disney property. It also has some of the best dining options at Walt Disney World. From their quick service at Gasparilla Grill to the signature restaurant Victoria and Albert’s, there is something for every Disney dining budget. The Grand Floridian Cafe is a budget-friendly table service restaurant that offers some delectable and delicious dishes.
Grand Floridian Cafe
The Grand Floridian Cafe is located on the first floor of the main building in the back. The Cafe is so beautiful and gives you a full view of the courtyard with full-length Victorian style windows.
If you are on Disney property simply take your resort bus to the Magic Kingdom and then you can boat or take the monorail over to the Grand Floridian. You can also use the Minnie Van service or another ride-sharing service such as Lyft or Uber.
Once you check in for your reservation, they will take your cell phone number and let you know when your table is ready. That lets you explore the beautiful lobby or grounds a little.
Being that there are almost always dining reservations open for this place, I believe the Grand Floridian Cafe is a hidden gem. Amazing food and quiet atmosphere make this spot perfect. Even though the spot seems fancy, there is not a dress code that is enforced.
Grand Floridian Cafe Breakfast
Every table starts off with soft, warm biscuits with orange butter to go with them. The biscuits are so good! I really didn’t taste the orange in the butter but it does smell wonderful.
If you go to breakfast at the Grand Floridian, make sure to choose one of the Egg Benedicts. They are amazing! My husband got the Benedict Flight in which you get one of each of the benedicts offered. I chose just the Chorizo one. The dishes come with a marinated tomato salad, you are free to switch that out for hashbrowns or fruit.
Traditional Eggs Benedict – Two-poached Eggs, Toasted English Muffin, Canadian Bacon, and Hollandaise
Spicy Chorizo Benedict – Two-poached Eggs, Toasted English Muffin, Fresh Chorizo Sausage, Bell Pepper Relish, and Chorizo-Hollandaise
Lobster Benedict – Two-poached Eggs, Toasted English Muffin, Lobster, Asparagus, and Hollandaise
Grand Floridian Lunch and Dinner
The Grand Floridian lunch is great because you can choose from a lot of their breakfast and dinner options. So you can make it a brunch or lunch depending on your schedule.
I recently went in the evening and had such a nice dinner. Every table starts off with bread service, wheat rolls served warm with soft whipped honey butter. Unlike the breakfast flavored butter, the honey flavor was very evident and added such a delicate sweetness to the roll.
We started out with the Artisanal Cheese Offering for the appetizer. Our favorite part was the fresh honeycomb, it is so good especially paired with the cheeses. It was all good and something I would order again.
My husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits. This is the menu description: Jumbo Shrimp with Chorizo and Fennel served on top of Creamy Mascarpone Cheese Grits. My husband orders grits at any place that offers it and he said these grits were the best he ever had. I tasted them and I thought they were good but grits are not my favorite thing in the world. The shrimp was amazing though!
I ordered the Lobster ‘Thermidor’ Burger. Lately, I learned to love seafood and wanted to try out something I normally would have not ordered before. Here is the menu description: Artisanal 7-oz Burger Patty and Lobster-Parmesan Thermidor Sauce on a Seared Brioche Bun served with Cafe Signature Seasoned French Fries. Overall, I was a little disappointed in the dish. The lobster by itself was wonderful, the burger by itself was wonderful but together the lobster got lost in the burger and overall became just ok. It was not awful, just not as spectacular as I thought it would have been.
This place is now one of my favorites especially if you are paying out of pocket. If you’re looking for another amazing Grand Floridian dining experience, check out my Citricos Dining Review.

I've done dinner there twice and really enjoyed it. Clearly I need to do breakfast because those eggs benedict look and sound amazing!
