If you are looking for a quick service meal while you are in Galaxy’s Edge you will want to head over to Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. No burgers and fries found at this out-of-the-world dining place. It is one of the best quick service locations on Disney World Property because of the tasty dishes and amazing theming.
Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo Theming
Imagineers remembered that Disney World is outdoors and the Docking Bay is an indoor dining location with some covered seating outdoors. While there is quite a bit of seating indoors, the best chance of eating inside would probably to be to eat at off mealtime.
The Backstory. Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs is in much demand for his culinary skills, so he moves from site to site in a modified Sienar-Chall Utilipede-Transport that becomes a mobile kitchen and restaurant.
His travels across the galaxy allow him to fill his pantry with exotic ingredients he uses to make new and unusual dishes. He is proud to present Tuggs’ Grub, a “traveling diner for diners traveling,” inspired by dishes he created during his time working for Maz Kanata on Takodana. If you are familiar with Star Wars, you will recognize that name as Maz is introduced to us in The Force Awakens.
One of the primary sources of inspiration for the decor is Tokyo’s legendary Tsukiji Fish Market, which was the largest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world until it closed at the end of 2018. (source)
Even if you do not want to eat a quick service meal at Galaxy’s Edge, take a tour of the inside. It is very themed and so much to look at. I would have to say my favorite part was that the food is served to the Cast Members through a conveyor belt. I asked about that and was told droids are helping Cookie get the food out. I just love how they keep everything to the story Disney is telling in this land.
Another aspect that stood out to me was that unlike so many Disney quick-service dining locations, the dishes are real similar to Santulli Canteen in Pandora. I hope this is a trend that continues at Disney.
Docking Bay 7 Menu Picks
I am a ribs loving girl so I had to try the Pork Smoked Riba (Smoked Kaduu Ribs). The ribs are served with a purple cabbage slaw and a blueberry corn muffin. The ribs were tender and the seasoning is a bit tangy with a tiny bit of heat.
I thought a blueberry corn muffin was a weird combo but the flavors are perfect for each other. The juicy blueberries complimented the drier texture of the muffin.
I also enjoyed the Roasted Chicken Salad (Roasted Endorian Tip-Yip Salad). This is a chicken salad with Mixed Greens, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables, Quinoa, Pumpkin Seeds, with a Green Curry Ranch. The different textures and flavors make this a perfect salad. I especially liked the flavor of the marinated chicken and cauliflower.
I ordered the Moof Juice to go with my meal but I was not overly impressed with the drink. It is a non-alcoholic drink that is a mix of Simply® Fruit Punch, Simply® Orange with Pineapple, and Chipotle-Pineapple. The flavor was good but I got very little juice. They fill up the cup completely with ice. I think next time I will try getting it with light ice so I can really taste it.
Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo has two dessert options. Both are good and have a hard time saying which one I liked better. Each one comes topped with a chocolate coin and sprinkled with what I think taste like matcha cake crumbles. So delicious!
Fried Endorian Tip-Yip. Fried Chicken, Roasted Vegetables, Potato Mash with Herb Gravy or Macaroni & Cheese, I found this dish to be rather bland. It is definitely not worth the price if you are paying out of pocket. If you are a chicken fan, then there are other places to grab a nice chicken tender meal.
The Batuu-bon is a chocolate cake, White-Chocolate Mousse, with a Coffee Custard. It is delicious, and the coffee flavor is present but not overpowering. A great choice if you are a chocolate lover! I think this dessert is the prettiest with the galaxy glaze on top.
The Oi-Oi Puff is Raspberry Crème Puff and Passion Fruit Mousse. This is light and airy with a sweet raspberry flavor.
I can’t wait to back and try more of the tasty dishes this place offers. Don’t these sound good?

Tips for Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo
- Eat at Off Times. Quick service locations tend to be busiest at prime meal times, like at noon or 5-6:30. Enjoy an early lunch, or late dinner to beat the crowds.
- Mobile Order. Save time waiting in line and mobile order using the My Disney Experience App.
- Look for the Easter Eggs. You will find the years that the films of the original Star Wars trilogy came out on three trailer-sized cargo pods.
