Disney World Ride Height Requirements

Knowing Disney World height requirements helps prevent meltdowns at the most Magical Place on Earth. Here are the height requirements for all the rides at each Disney World Park. I also share what happens when they are just a bit too short to ride.

Disney World Attraction Height Requirements

Disney World has height requirements for the safety of guests. Please do not try to game the system by having children appear taller. Some guests try doing do that and Cast Members can and will have your child take off their shoes if they feel if you cheated on their height.

If a ride is for guests of any height that means that you can carry your babies, toddlers, and young children on the ride. This includes baby wearers.

Bonus Tip for Kids! Disney is a lot of walking, especially for little ones. Consider renting a stroller even if your preschooler is getting too big for one. I recommend Kingdom Strollers. Kingdom Strollers is a small family-run business and is loved by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

What Happens if Someone in Your Party is Too Short to Ride?

Use Rider Swap. With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the non-rider (or riders) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. When the other adult returns, they can supervise the non-riding Guests, and the waiting adult can board the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again!

Magic Might Happen. Sometimes if a child doesn’t measure up they may get a certificate to ride at a later time after they are tall enough. This is not a guaranteed thing though.
