Disney World Annual Pass Perks and Discounts

Getting a Disney World Annual Pass may be a way to save you a lot of money on your Disney Vacation. A Disney World Annual Pass not only lowers your per day ticket prices but also has a lot of money-saving perks.

How to Determine if a Disney Annual Pass is a Great Deal

If you are vacationing for more than 9 days than you may save money buying an annual pass versus a 9-day park hopper once you include the possible resort and dining discount.

Even if just one person in your party has the annual pass then you can all enjoy the benefits.

Resort Discounts. There are discounts, especially for annual passholders. Sometimes these discounts are more than regular discounts. Disney World Annual Pass Freebies

Car Magnets. You get a free Mickey Passholder Magnet free in the mail once you become a passholder. In addition to that magnet, you also get a chance to get several freebie ones during holidays and festivals.

Food & Wine Freebies. For the past few years, Disney has been offering a cute freebie during Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival. These are “earned” by visiting the park 4 times during the festival. In 2018 a cute Mickey cutting board was offered. This year (2019) it is a set of 4 Minnie Mouse coasters that match the style of the cutting board. In the past, we have gotten art prints, wine glasses, and regular glasses.

Mickey Monitor. The Mickey Monitor is a quarterly newsletter that gets sent to you. It usually includes a mini-poster or postcards that you can collect. It is filled with upcoming events and merchandise releases you may be interested in.

Exclusive Merchandise. Passholders also have a selection of collectible pins, ride merchandise, and seasonal merchandise just for them.

Annual Pass Perks

Some of these perks are just ok and some are great! I love being a passholder and love being a local so I can take advantage of a lot of these. My personal biggest perk is being able to take the parks in at a more relaxed pace and being able to soak in every detail. I just love Disney World and the magic never gets old for me.

Dedicated Parks Entrance. At each park, there is a ticket turnstile just for passholders. Sometimes this is a quicker entrance because most of us passholders have the ticket scanning process down and rarely encounter problems. I would say I use it about half of the time I go.

Land/ Ride Advanced Previews. Many times Disney will let passholders experience a new ride or land before the general public. For Galaxy’s Edge, they only allowed Platinum passes and above which I think was wrong. I had a platinum plus pass so I could go but I just downgraded to a Gold. Hopefully the next previews we will be for everyone.

Merchandise Previews. When Disney announces a new color collection, such as Potion Purple, passholders usually get a pop-up shop preview.
