Disney’s 101 Dalmatians is a beloved animated movie that I adore. You will adore these 101 Dalmatians-inspired brownies for your next family movie night or party. This easy recipe uses a boxed brownie recipe and store-bought frosting to whip up a great spotted dessert!
While Disney has had quite a few renditions of this beloved story, the most recent being Cruella, the 1961 animated classic will always be my favorite. I love all the puppy personalities.
How to Make 101 Dalmatians Inspired Brownies
Ingredients and Tools Needed:
- One Box Brownies Mix, Prepared (or you can make easy homemade brownies)
- One Tub Vanilla Frosting or homemade frosting
- Black Food Coloring
- Red Food Coloring
- Pastry bags
- Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter
Step 1 – Bake & Cut the Brownies
Prepare brownies as instructed. Let cool for 2 minutes, then flip onto a cooling rack and then flip onto a baking sheet.
Cut out Mickey shapes using a cookie cutter. Let cool completely.
Step 2 – Color the Frosting
- Take ½ cup of vanilla frosting and add 4 drops of black food coloring, mixing thoroughly. Spoon into a pastry bag.
- Then take another ½ cup of frosting and add 3 drops of red food coloring. If too pink add 1 more drop at a time until red is good for you.
- The rest of the white frosting will be for the base.
Step 3 – Frost Brownies
With a dull knife or decorator’s spatula, cover the top of the big circle (Mickey’s Face) with vanilla frosting. Do not frost the ears.
Then take the black frosting and pipe on spots.
Then add a collar using the red frosting with the medium tip cut off.
Serve and Enjoy!
