If you are wanting a lunch that will remind you of your childhood but elevated to the next level, Woody’s Lunch Box in the new Toy Story Land is promising to dish up exactly what you are wanting.

Disney removed the yummy Monte Cristo sandwich from the menu on July 15th.

“Everyone has a special food memory, so it can be tricky putting a modern spin on the favorites,” explained Lenny DeGeorge, Concept Development Culinary Director for Walt Disney World. “We honored these classic dishes by using the best ingredients to elevate the flavors. How we constructed the sandwiches was important, such as layering the ingredients in a specific order, to maximize textures and flavors. Why have a cold sandwich when you can have a toasted hot, gooey, cheese-filled one?”

Save time by mobile ordering your food. I secured a table and then while seated then I ordered my food. Then one person in my party went and picked up the order. The line for ordering was long and there is no shade while waiting in the line.
Seating is limited. There are a couple of cutely themed tables, but the majority of the tables are just brightly colored. The area itself is not shaded but there are umbrellas at each table.
My favorite item is the Totchos. It had lots of different textures because of the tater tots, the chips, cheese, chili, and onions. The chili could have been a little more flavorful but it was still good. I liked the little bit of crunch added by the corn chips.
The BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich was a little on the dry side. I think next time I will try asking for a little more sauce. The meat was flavorful. The pasta salad is pretty good as well.
The Monte Cristo was great. The mustard taste comes out stronger than the raspberry flavor. The soup that I ordered along with it, is Disney’s tomato-basil soup. It is very good and I think the best side of the 3 choices you have: potato barrels, vegetable pasta salad, or soup. On July 15th, 2018 Disney removed this sandwich from the menu.
The root beer float is just your classic float, it is good and definitely hit the spot on the very, very hot day I went.
I was not a fan of the Chocolate Hazelnut Box Tart. It had way too much “tart” and not enough filling. There are way better desserts at Disney to spend your money on than this.

I thought the French Toast was a little dry, it needed something like whipped cream to top it. My serving had very little marshmallow so it was basically dry chocolate french toast.
