Snow White, Beauty & the Beast, and Sleeping Beauty are all examples of stories with European history. From that history, Walt Disney created the castles and backdrops we have come to love. When it came time to build actual replicas of the castles for the Disney Parks, Walt Disney, himself traveled to Europe to see the castles for himself.
