Mickey Mouse Sugar Cookies Instructions
Step 1 – Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2 – Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 3 – Using a standing mixer, cream together the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and egg and mix until creamy. Make sure to scrape the sides with a rubber spatula.
Step 4 – Using a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar. I usually use a whisk to combine these together. It adds a little bit of air to keep the mix fluffy.
Step 5 – Gradually add in the dry ingredients and mix on low speed. After a little bit you will need to start using your hands to get the dough combined. It is always fun to get a little messy while baking.
Step 6 – Lightly flour a cutting board and knead the cookie dough a couple of times.
Step 7 – Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick.
Step 8 – Cut out 12 Mickey heads and place them onto a cookie sheet. Round up the remaining dough and set aside in the fridge.
Step 9 – Bake for 8 minutes or until lightly golden brown. While the first set is baking you can start cutting out the next.
Step 10 – Let cookies cool completely.
