We live in a multi-dimensional world and making art look 3d without it actually coming up from the project is illusion art. This Mickey Hand Illusion art makes it seem like Mickey’s hand is rising up from the paper.
How to Make Mickey Mouse Hand Illusion Art
Materials Needed:
For this project, you will need a Mickey Mouse Hand Template, paper, a ruler, and something to draw with. It doesn’t matter if you use pens, pencils, markers, or colored pencils.
The Drawing Process
Print. Print out and cut out the Mickey Mouse Hand Template. Printing the template out on cardstock will make it easier to work with. You can even laminate it to make the hand last longer.
Trace. Trace Mickey’s hand onto your paper.
Draw the Straight Lines. Using the ruler, draw straight lines on the outside of the traced hand shape.
Draw the Curved Lines. Draw curved lines inside of the hand. I liked how even without the color Mickey’s Hand kind of pops out at you!
Add Color. This last part is optional but you can color in the lines. I decided to keep with the Mickey theme and use red, black, and yellow.
I think it came out ok. I like the process though. Art is not about being perfect and I loved doing this. It took me about 1.5 hours. This would be a really great project for kids, teaching hand-eye coordination and coloring skills.

My 9 ans 11 year old would love this. When they get home, I'll try to get the funds for the tools for this one.

That came out GREAT. If you drew that Micky hand without tracing.... you did great. I can't draw at all.

I free handed the Mickey Hand. Oddly there were not any templates online that I could find anyways. Lot's of Mickey Heads but not Mickey Hands. I don't have a scanner or I would upload my template because I drew it several times to get it right and wanted several copies so I wouldn't lose it.
