Magic Kingdom Attractions to Skip

The Magic Kingdom has so much to do that you are not going to get to do everything the park offers. Here are 5 Attractions to Skip at the Magic Kingdom. I am not saying these attractions are horrible or not enjoyable, but if you are short on time then these are not must-do attractions.

5 Attractions to Skip at The Magic Kingdom

Doing Disney on a budget means getting the most enjoyment from your pricey Disney World vacation. These rides, in my opinion, are not worth your time and money. If you only have one day at the Magic Kingdom, you are not missing much if you skip these attractions.

The Riverboat Ride

The Riverboat Ride is in Frontierland and is a nice little boat ride. You get to see the park from a different perspective and see some of the details the Imagineers put into the river bank areas. While nice, it takes about 15 minutes away from your park day and usually, you have to stand so if you are looking for a rest this ride may not be it.

Country Bear Jamboree

The Country Bear Jamboree is an animatronic show that has country bears singing old country tunes. The Jamboree was one of the first attractions at Walt Disney World so for some it is very nostalgic. Not for me though. This is something that even as a passholder, I have only gone to it a couple of times and usually only during high-capacity park days because there is nothing else to do.

Astro-Orbiter

A space-themed Dumbo-type ride in Tomorrowland with no Genie+ option. The only good thing about this ride is that it takes you really high up so you can get a good view of the park and is really cool at night.

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin

This is pretty much the Dumbo-type ride with an Aladdin take. There is not a fun interactive queue like Dumbo and the view is not as nice as Astro-Orbiter.

Tomorrowland Speedway

Tomorrowland Speedway is one of the attractions to skip at the Magic Kingdom because it is just driving around in a little car. A lot of local fairs and carnivals have similar rides that allow little ones to sit in the driver seat. The fumes from this ride actually make me want to avoid the area around it. Maybe if Disney updated the ride it would be better.

It’s not that I don’t appreciate these attractions. I go on these sometimes but if you have a short time at the Magic Kingdom you are not missing the best attractions Disney offers by skipping these.
