Epcot International Festival of the Arts 2022

Epcot is always a fun place to expand your horizons, especially during an Epcot International Festival.  The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts kicks off Jan. 14 and runs through Feb. 21, 2022. The festival is extra magical since it’s taking place during The World’s Most Magical Celebration honoring the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.

Since I have a huge creative side, this festival is my favorite!

Epcot International Festival of the Arts

Guests can kick off 2022 with world-class cuisine, remarkable visual art, and an extraordinary lineup of live entertainment. Introduce your inner aficionado to an exciting extravaganza brimming with phenomenal artists, gourmet fare, musical performances, stage productions, and other amazing acts. We’ve rolled everything you love about the arts into one spectacular festival.

Things to Do at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts

There are plenty of budget-friendly things to do at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. You can have a great time at the festival without spending a whole lot of money.

Don’t forget to grab your Free Festival Passport to document your fun, it makes a great souvenir!

1. Fun Photo Opportunities

The characters around the World Showcase have portraits with them so your picture is a little more creative than normal. There are also well-known paintings that you can jump right into.

The photos come out amazing if you play with the scene a bit and don’t just smile for the camera. If you don’t have Memory Maker the Photopass Photographer will also use your camera to take a picture.

2. Hands-on Art

Be an artist! Whether you help paint the huge mural or wall (free) or paint your own masterpiece scarf (at cost) you can get artistic at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.

The Olaf I drew during the free class offered during the festival.

3. Specially-Created Food Studios

Fifteen festival Food Studios plus additional food and beverage locations will take culinary arts to the next level with scrumptious, imaginative dishes – artistically sculpted and ready for camera closeups. New this year is the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine featuring a culinary reward – guests who collect a stamp in their festival passports for each menu item purchased along the Wonderful Walk will fill their “palette” and receive a delicious technicolor treat.

The Food Studios are an edible wonderland of dishes and beverages, from the Deconstructed Reuben and Rainboba drink at The Deconstructed Dish Food Studio, to the Wild Mushroom Risotto and Classic Sidecar with a Chocolate Twist at The Masterpiece Kitchen at the Canada pavilion.

The Decadent Delights Food Studio features the sweetest takes on culinary art like the Lemon Blood-Orange Tart and the White Chocolate Figment Puzzle on an Artist Palette. Guests will discover new twists on festival favorites, as well as a broad selection of libations from craft brewers and global wineries.

4. Enjoy the Performing Artists all around Epcot

This is additional entertainment above and beyond the normal great shows. All of the shows are free. Some of the performances you may see are:

  • Living Statues
  • Art Defying Gravity Shows
  • Musical Guests
  • Sidewalk Artists

5. Disney Art Window Shopping

There are lots of booths featuring different art of Disney or of Florida. You can just window shop and admire all the art. Some of the artists are present and are available to ask questions.

The Cast Members also know a lot about the art and can provide some trivia regarding the pieces. Some of the smaller prints are priced decently if you are looking to grow your Disney art collection. I like seeing different artists and their interpretations of my favorite characters.

6. The Disney on Broadway Series

The popular DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series returns, with three shows each evening headlined by Broadway stars performing beloved songs from more than 25 years of award-winning stage productions.
