Disney’s American Adventure Pavilion is a great place to get a glimpse at American history and have some fun! I am going to share everything to see, do, and eat at this relaxing stop in Epcot’s World Showcase.
Epcot’s American Adventure Pavilion
You can find the American Pavilion between the Italian and Japanese pavilions. The pavilion is a single large building designed in the Colonial style. The building uses forced perspective to make a five-story building appear to be two and a half stories. Take a closer look next time you go, it is really neat to see!
This is a nice pavilion to visit if you need a break from the sun and heat.
Across from the American Pavilion, you find the American Gardens outdoor theater which houses the Christmas Candlelight processional, Eat to the Beat Concerts, and Garden Rocks concert series.
Disney’s American Pavilion Attractions
The American Adventure. The American Adventure is a great 30-minute show that uses film, music, and many audio-animatronics that chronicles America’s history and inspires Americans to continue our epic journey! Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain are the hosts. Since the show is long, it is not something I suggest to do if you are on a short trip and only doing one day at Epcot.
If you have seen it before you may want to visit it again if you have not in the last year because in early 2018 the show got updated with better technology and a newer final montage of American heroes. The backdrop video is now all digital and looks much clearer.
One of the best things about the show is the soundtrack. It is so touching and fits each era. You can find the song Golden Dream (the final montage song) on the Walt Disney World Official Soundtrack.
Wheelchair guests should check with the Cast Member upon entering the main hall. There is an elevator that will take you and your party up to the level where the theater is located. If you are on a scooter, they take you to where the exit ramp is and you enter the theater up the ramp. Wheelchairs and scooters are placed in the back of the theater but the view is still good.
American Heritage Gallery. The is a small mini-museum that changes frequently.
Voices of Liberty. If there is one thing you do not want to miss at Disney’s American Pavilion it is the Voices of Liberty. The Voices of Liberty is an a capella group that singers that perform inside of the pavilion. They usually perform about 15 minutes prior to the next showing of the American Adventure. See your times guide for exact times. The way that the pavilion is built makes for great acoustics which takes their performance to a whole new level.
Kidcot Spot. Right outside the pavilion on the right, there is a Kidcot spot where little ones can do a simple activity.
American Pavilion Dining
If you are someone that brings your own food to the park, there are picnic tables under a shaded pavilion that are great to have your own picnic on.
Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue. This is a quick service resturant with an outdoor bar. Here you will find classics like Mac N Cheese, Ribs Pork Butt, Fries, Burgers, Beer and even wine.
Funnel Cakes. If you are looking for a classic sweet theme park treat then the Funnel Cake Stand will fill your craving. This kiosk is located to the right of the pavilion. You will find some yummy combinations like funnel cakes topped with ice cream!
Fife and Drum Tavern. A place to grab some popcorn, pretzels, Tukey legs, and ice cream. They also serve some alcoholic drinks such as Sutter Home Pinot Grigio, Bud Light, and Yuengling.
