Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Tips & Review

If your little Prince or Princess wants to get all dolled up, don’t worry you can experience the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on a budget. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a wonderful experience where Fairy Godmothers in Training transform your little boy or girl into a knight of Princess.

Unfortunately, prices start at $59.95 for the Princess Packages. The Knight package is just $19.95 though. (prices current on the date this is posted, current prices can be found at the Disney World website. I am going to share with you 4 Money-Saving Tips for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Money Saving Tips for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Get the Basic Package. If experiencing the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a must-do and no other alternative would be acceptable then get the basic package. It is $59.95 and comes with hairstyling, shimmering makeup, face gem, nail polish, and a Princess sash and tote. You do get to keep the comb used, the makeup palette, the unused gems, and the nail polish bottle used. You can frugally add on what the other packages offer.

The $99.95 package adds a tutu and a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique t-shirt. The t-shirt isn’t all that special and you can get a similar tutu elsewhere. The ultimate package is $199.95 and adds a princess necklace and full costume with accessories (minus the shoes). The costumes from the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique can be itchy and very warm to wear since they are not cotton. You can find beautiful cotton dresses like this Anna Inspired Dress from Amazon or Etsy.

Go to the Pirate’s League instead. The Mermaid package from the Pirate’s League includes Luminous Mermaid Make-up and make-up palette, mermaid hairstyle with color changing hair clip, distinctive mermaid necklace, nail polish, mermaid sash, plus a special mermaid costume T-shirt and tutu! Prices are much cheaper, and from what I hear the hairstyles are more comfy for kids.

Get Princess Pretty at the Disney Salons. You can get a manicure or pedicure at Disney starting at $35. I have personally gotten a manicure at Coronado Springs and loved the service I got. It was very relaxing. You can call 407-WDW-SPAS for more information. You would DIY your hair and outfit but I think the value is more because of the quiet environment and superb service.

DIY the Whole Experience. Buy the princess dresses cheaply like this beautiful Belle peasant dress from Mom Approved Costumes. Have parent/child time while you do their hair, nails, and makeup! You can stop by the  Castle Couture and get sprinkled with pixie dust for free!

If you don’t feel comfortable DIYing yourself, did you know that you can schedule a princess makeover to come to your room? Character Dresser will come to your room and do the makeover for you. It is a little bit more than the basic package but includes the dress and a flashing wand!

My Experience at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

My friend, Claire (visit and subscribe to her YouTube Channel), and her daughter visited Walt Disney World in February 2018 and I had the privilege of accompanying her to her Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment at the Disney Springs location. Claire went with the money-saving route and her daughter brought along a very comfy princess dress and had the basic $59.95 package.

I was very impressed with the whole process and have to say that the price for the basic package is very much worth the experience. After checking in and a short wait you are brought into an area that has dressing rooms. This is where you can change into the dress you brought or get one of the ones you purchase.

Once in the changing room, the mirror comes alive with Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. She welcomes the little princess and you say the magical words along with her. I love this added touch of magic!

Once you have changed you are in another hallway waiting to get the makeover. I don’t think we waited more than 5-10 minutes before we were called to go into the main room.

The makeover is much more than a regular makeover appointment. The stylists are also storytellers. They tell the story of how the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique began. A lot of the other Disney princesses are brought into the storytelling like Rapunzel painted the walls, Snow White has the rosiest cheeks, and Aurora picked gold for the nail polish because she couldn’t decide which color to use since all the other princesses wanted her to use their color. Even Minnie Mouse gets a mention because Minnie taught the Godmother in training how to make bows!

Another great thing is that the little princess gets to make all the choices and every step of the makeover is explained.

At the end of the makeover, your little knight or princess is in store for their own little photoshoot in front of a beautiful Cinderella carriage!

Once you are done you can head over the Disney Springs Photo Studio and get some amazing pictures of your princess and the whole family too with great themed backdrops and props!

The best tip I have I have for whatever you choose is to make the most of whatever option you choose. Take tons of photos, visit all the princesses (they will adore your looks and make your little one feel so special), don’t rush the experience, and treat your child like the princess/knight they are for the day!

It sounds fun at the same time! Disney is really amazing, I'm so glad that I found this and I'd like to take the basic package to save.

I have never been to Disney and I think it is a great idea not to spend all that money--in this case DIY is definitely the way to go!!
